For the last day of my 26th year, I wanted to go on a picnic (#4 on the list) so we packed up our ol' trusty blue lunch box, jumped on our bikes and headed out.
Our destination was this rad little hideaway of park just off the main drag right on the river. We scored and got the place all to ourselves.
We kicked it old school with PB&J's, chips and apple slices. I may be an adult, but I can still eat like a kid. ;)
Mmmmm....
And what's a picnic lunch without dessert??
Thanks JB for taking me on a pre-birthday picnic! I loved it :)
I'm not always super comfortable with the rate at which time passes... 27 just doesn't sound like a kid anymore, but I still feel like a kid, so I guess that's all that matters, right? 26 has been a good year, filled with red hair dye, two international trips, my first solo trip, buying our first little dream house by the beach, crafting, blogging, friends, family and loads more fun stuff, so I am ending the year feeling grateful, very grateful.
Ok 27, let's go. I'm ready.
Hugs,
the bird xo

Happy Birthday! I think part of being a 'grown up' is that we can choose to do what we want--as adult or not as it seems. Go for the pb&j! It is one of my standard take-to-school lunches.
ReplyDeletethis is adorable!
ReplyDeletei love picnics.
my mom used to take us on picnics frequently...our favorite fare was pb&j, fritos, and kool-aid.
it has been great following your list!
happy happy birthday to you.
lots of love and magical wishes for the year ahead. <3
