Visiting the Impossible Project NYC

So, as promised, here's a little peek from my visit to the Impossible Project store in NYC over Thanksgiving weekend. This was one of the things I was looking forward to the most about visiting NYC, and it was beyond exciting! From the incredible photo displays to the overwhelming camera and film stock, I felt like a kid in a candy store! Take a look...
Taken as you enter the showroom/store.
A snapshot of the counter, full of goodies!
The shots displayed were so incredibly inspiring, and the staff was beyond helpful, giving me all kinds of tips when dealing with the new film, which is still a bit temperamental as they work out kinks in production. (the manager actually sold me her last pack of original sx70 color film from her own personal stock! I seriously wanted to hug her!) But really, that's half the fun of Polaroid, isn't it? The element of surprise. Dealing with the unknown. The unknown is something I am trying to be more open to in this new year.

I can't wait to start experimenting with my new film! (I know, I know, can't believe I haven't used any of it yet either!!)

Hugs,

  3. Ohh nice! I haven't been to the shop yet, but mention it every time we are heading to NY. I ordered film forever ago and am soooo stingy with pictures. I haven't even tried one of my cameras yet. It is thrilling, but a bit of a luxury. Can't wait to see your pictures!
